In the production line of PU car Air Filters for automobiles, the Car Air Filter pleating machine is the core basic machine for filter element and filter material forming. It is specially designed for PU glue-sealed Air Filter Elements for automobiles. It undertakes the creasing, folding, shaping and cutting of roll filter paper. The output corrugated filter material is directly connected to subsequent processes such as PU glue injection and end cap sealing. It is the standard machine in the mass production line of PU air filters for small and medium-sized automobiles.
This equipment is designed for the production of standard filter media for automotive PU air filters, including air-specific filter paper and composite non-woven fabrics. It features a simple preheating/steam softening structure to effectively prevent paper tearing and irregular creases during the folding of rigid filter media, ensuring the quality of the formed media. The machine utilizes a mechanical transmission + basic PLC + touchscreen control mode, making it easy to operate and maintain. It supports variable frequency speed control, and the folding height and folding distance can be finely adjusted manually/semi-automatically, meeting the medium-batch production needs of most standard-sized automotive air filters.
From a structural and workflow perspective, a typical paper folding machine mainly consists of a feeding rack, a slitting and trimming unit, a creasing and heating unit, a folding roller assembly, a hot melt adhesive application and shaping unit, a conveying and cutting unit, and an electrical control system. The entire process is automated: after the roll of filter material is unwound from the feeding rack, it is first trimmed to the specified width by the slitting and trimming unit, then the creasing and heating unit presses out uniform creases and softens the filter material, and then the folding roller assembly folds it into a continuous corrugated shape. Simultaneously, the hot melt adhesive unit applies adhesive to shape it, and finally the conveying and cutting unit cuts it to a fixed length, outputting single-section formed filter material. The entire process requires minimal manual intervention and has good forming consistency.
In addition, the core design of the machine is in line with the requirements of subsequent processes of PU air filter. The hot melt adhesive is applied in a dotted/line pattern, and the amount of adhesive can be controlled. This ensures the corrugation shaping effect of the filter material without affecting the bonding and sealing of the subsequent PU adhesive, effectively connecting the preceding and following processes and ensuring the smoothness of the entire pu air filter production line.
